This apartment complex is decent. The new management seems to be easier to work with.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! I lived here for a torturous 9 months and hated every minute of it. When we first moved in, our apartment was supposed to be all brand new, newly remodeled. Not only did they delay our move in date two weeks and not even tell us until the night before we were supposed to be moving in- when we arrived the walls were still wet with paint, the carpets were wet, the "wood floors" were a wood paper with wet glue underneath that ripped every time you budged a piece of furniture. After a week of living there you could start to smell the mold in the pipes. Mold started to grow in the showers no matter how hard or how much you scrubbed. BUGS. Everywhere. We had earwigs come in and out of our apartment through the cracks between the walls and floor. Whenever we had a maintenance issue it was like pulling teeth to get the staff to come and fix it. The outdoors lights of our whole building were out for months and every single person called several times asking them to come fix them. Every call they said they fixed them that morning and they would be on that night but they never came on. Several of the tenants fell down the stairs from not being able to see at night. It took a threat to sue for them to finally come fix the lights. The pool was open maybe a total of three weeks the entire summer. They had it constantly locked which was a pain after you got the kids all ready to go and walked over only to see a padlock on the door. The drug scene is so bad there they have a undercover cop living there. They have cop cars do nightly patrols. Nearly every other night the cops were called for some reason. The club house may look nice but the apartments surrounding it are a piece of crap. Nothing is kept up. I strongly advise you not to live here. Hands down worst place I've ever lived.

Want an honest review? Take it from me, a guy that lived here for the longest year of my life. First off, the people that management have selected for working in the office are not all there. Secondly, there has never been a quite time at the village. constantly drunks and junkies roaming around, fighting and yelling. If somehow the junkies arent out, there is still the constant shriek of unsupervised children. If somehow you can tolereate that, dont forget they charge you to park. They charge you for trash, they charge you for water and have rediculous application and sign up fees. Oh ya, dont forhet you have to pay for renters insurance. Save yourself a headache and dont live in these terrible, over priced, drug infested appartments! If you really need a place, i would recomend renting a low end motel room for the month before wasting your time, money and patience at The Village Park Apartments!!!
